The 2008 European Freestyle Championships will be held this summer on the Mino River in Northwest Spain. Paddlers will wax tricky on Ourense Wave, located below a bridge in the town Ourense.

Nathan and I are planning to go to Elbow River and also hit the Kananaskis River near Calgary!!! We hope to possibly take off Friday, camp over and have ALL saturday to paddle to our hearts content! There is a group of us looking at doing Skook maybe on July 4th and am wondering if anyone out there can give me some info on it? None of us have run it before - I've read Smith's description but it's nice to have a more recent one! With the lower St. Mary flowing and 34C forecast, we propose a family float through Box Canyon for Monday.

This would be similar to last year's trip as we'll bring our raft and kids and we'd have room for a few others in the raft, and others could kayak or canoe.

Nathan - are you and your kids interested in joining us?

I was in Waterton today and I saw Blackiston Creek!!! It looks really good right now, so I have a bit of an itch to go this Saturday, but I need some more people to come and enjoy its greatness. crystal clear water, and a class III feature that I want to paddle, that is a bit west of the red rock canyon parking lot, just upstream from the bridge to Blackiston Falls.
