Events for July 2008

The 2008 European Freestyle Championships will be held this summer on the Mino River in Northwest Spain. Paddlers will wax tricky on Ourense Wave, located below a bridge in the town Ourense.

Nathan and I are planning to go to Elbow River and also hit the Kananaskis River near Calgary!!! We hope to possibly take off Friday, camp over and have ALL saturday to paddle to our hearts content! There is a group of us looking at doing Skook maybe on July 4th and am wondering if anyone out there can give me some info on it? None of us have run it before - I've read Smith's description but it's nice to have a more recent one! I've read some posts on wood and understand there is only one spot to look out for - any other tips? Good level? (I'm guessing that over 6 ...
