So the Festival Eau Vive du Haut Saint-Maurice is back this year on May 30-31 and June 1st. And what so special about this festival, it’s the only festival with a creek race with prizes in Quebec, but it’s also the only festival where, on their first years, the had 27 paddlers registered before the race, 20 paddlers at the start of the first run and less than 10 on the second run. Its hard to believe that this will be the 10th RUNNING OF THE RIVERS down here in southwest Alberta this year. The Pinch-o-Crow Creekers are hosting the 10th annual WW Rendezvous on May 16-17-18-19, 2008 again this year down in the "Centre of Adventure". We will be organizing and leading trips on the Castle, Crowsnest and Oldman Rivers. There will be Sunday and Wednesday pool sessions at SAIT until May 11, 2008 (some exceptions, see below). The sessions run from 8:30pm-10pm (unless specified below) and cost $12 (cash). Kayaks, paddles and skirts are available for use free of charge.
